Client A, an overview.

Client A, (17) came to me presenting with depression, sleep disturbance, anxiety and suicidal ideation. 

A recommendation to work alongside GP was made, however due to long waiting lists no other treatment took place alongside therapy with me. 

Upon consultation it was established that the client wanted to achieve three things - better sleep, hold down a job by overcoming their social anxiety and pass their driving test too. 

Client A was particularly anxious about trying Hypnotherapy as this was a completely new concept, however after some reassurance and a discussion they were happy to go ahead. 

One of the questions Client A asked was "Will I be able to go into a state of hypnosis?"  The quick answer, yes! We all go into a natural state of hypnosis regularly! 

We worked on a total of three Hypnotherapy sessions, one multi therapy session including both Hypnotherapy and Reiki and a further two Reiki sessions. 

During this time we regularly checked in to reassess the goals and points of focus. 

Client A responded very well in session, achieving a good state of trance from the very first session onwards and described it as being awake and asleep at the same time but very comfortable.  

The therapy took place over approximately 6 months, guided by the clients availability and feelings. 

Client A is now happy working in a job that they enjoying and have been doing so for some months now, sleeping well most of the time and experienced a reduction in anxiety symptoms.  They are still working on driving lessons however, it is less of a priority now due to relocating. 

The most profound statement made by client A after three sessions was "I can see so far into the future now, and I just couldn't before" 

I feel extremely happy to have watched them progressing and reaching those milestones - they are notably happier, more accomplished and feeling optimistic about the fufuture. They plan to return for Reiki in the coming months.
